Why support the Institute for Palestine Studies? Because since its establishment in 1963 it has uniquely addressed the compelling need for a sustained and credible effort to educate the public about the realities of the Palestine problem. Indeed, it is the only institute in the world exclusively devoted to documentation, research, analysis, and publication on Palestinian affairs and the Arab-Israeli conflict. We believe that by protecting the integrity of the historical record, and accurately documenting ongoing developments, we support sound policy making and progress toward a just and comprehensive peace. The Institute produces a wide range of publications for various audiences:
• More than 500 books and monographs – in English, Arabic, and French – to serve the academic community, inform policy making, and educate the general public. It has an ongoing copublication agreement with Columbia University Press, NY.
• Four quarterly journals: Its flagship Journal of Palestine Studies, copublished with the University of California Press, accounts for nearly 20% of all articles downloaded from the Middle East publications carried by JSTOR, the leading U.S. database of scholarly journals.
• Mukhtarat min al-Suhuf al-'Ibriyah [Selections from the Hebrew Press], a daily Arabic-language summary of the Hebrew press for policymakers in the Arab world.
The Institute will remain a viable organization only through the continued generosity of individual donors and private corporations worldwide. We encourage you to donate today!
