Since Oct. 7, over 120,000 Israelis have applied for a gun license. As people remember the civilian violence against Palestinians in 2021, these civil militias infuse terror into spaces where Palestinians live in proximity to Jewish Israelis. Amahl Bishara, associate professor of anthropology at Tufts University and editorial board member of the Journal of Palestine Studies, speaks to the situation of Palestinians who hold Israeli citizenship residing in '48 territories.
