Biography | Muin Bseiso, born in Gaza and known as the poet of the Palestinian cause and of humanity, had his first poems published in 1946 and became a pioneer in the development of poetry. He graduated from the faculty of journalism at the American University in Cairo in 1952 and went back to the Gaza Strip, where he worked as a teacher and journalist. He was politically active as a communist, which led to his imprisonment for some years by the Egyptian authorities who ran the Gaza Strip. He wrote dozens of books and hundreds of articles, including works of poetry, drama, and prose.
