منذ اليوم الثاني للحرب على غزة، يوم الأحد 8 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2023، اتخذت مؤسسة الدراسات الفلسطينية قراراً بالعمل على مدار الأيام والساعات من أجل توثيق حرب الإبادة التي يتعرض لها الشعب الفلسطيني، وتوثيق تداعياتها على القضية الفلسطينية بصورة خاصة، وعلى الصراع العربي-الإسرائيلي بصورة عامة. وخلال الشهر الأول من الحرب، نشرت المؤسسة سلسلة أوراق سياسات متخصصة بمجالات التاريخ، والسياسة، والقضايا الاستراتيجية، والقانون الدولي، والاقتصاد، والاجتماع، وإعادة الإعمار، والمواقف الفلسطينية والعربية والإقليمية والدولية، وغيرها. ونظراً إلى أهمية هذه الأبحاث، سواء من الناحية البحثية أو التوثيقية أو من ناحية إحاطتها بمختلف جوانب هذه الحرب على قطاع غزة، وجدنا أنفسنا معنيين بإصدارها في كتاب، لما يمكن أن يشكله من مرجع مهم وأساسي وضروري للباحثين والمهتمين بهذا الشأن.

Jamil Hilal: Independent Palestinian social researcher, author and university lecturer and a specialist in political sociology, he worked as lecturer at Durham and London Universities and as a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford University, and has been working as a senior researcher at a number of Palestinian research institutes.

Joan Deas: She holds an MA degree in international organizations from Sciences Po, Grenoble, and is pursuing a doctorate in political science at the same university. Her research focuses on diplomatic stands adopted by India, Brazil and South Africa regarding the Israel Palestine conflict.

He currently supervises a project dealing with the history and heritage of Palestine.

Ali Sbateen: Assistant Professor at the College of Public Health at al-Quds University, he heads the Unit for Communicable Diseases at the Matla` Hospital and is a member of the Palestinian National Committee for Epidemics.

Majdi al-Malki: Head of research at the Institute for Palestine Studies, he holds a doctorate in Sociology of Development from Nanterre University-Paris 10 and is Professor of Sociology at Bir Zeit University.

Mohammad Draidi: Researcher in demographics and sociology, he holds an MA degree in urban studies and works at the Central Palestinian Bureau of Statistics as head of demography and social statistics. Author of several studies on population and demography, he has participated in many forums and conferences related to his field.

Muhammad Ali Khalidi: Presidential Professor of Philosophy at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, he has published on philosophical aspects of the Palestine Question, including refugee rights, self-determination and the ethics of war. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Palestine Studies and heads its Research Committee.
محمد علي الخالدي: يشغل منصب أستاذ رئاسي في الفلسفة في مركز الدراسات العليا في جامعة مدينة نيويورك. أجرى أبحاثاً بشأن الجوانب الفلسفية للقضية الفلسطينية، بما في ذلك حقوق اللاجئين، وحق تقرير المصير، وأخلاقية الحرب. وهو عضو مجلس أمناء مؤسسة الدراسات الفلسطينية ورئيس لجنة الأبحاث فيها.
Mashhour Abu Daqqa: Palestinian academic and lecturer, he has held several ministerial portfolios at the Palestinian Ministries of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

Nazmi Jubeh: Born in Jerusalem and resides there, he holds a BA from Bir Zeit University (1980), and an MA and Ph.D in Oriental Studies and Antiquities from Tübingen University in Germany (1991). He is an Associate Professor in the Department of History and Antiquities at Bir Zeit University (since 1991).
نظمي الجعبة: من مواليد القدس سنة 1955 وسكانها. يحمل درجة بكالوريوس من جامعة بيرزيت (1980)، ودرجتي ماجستير (1988) ودكتوراه في الدراسات الشرقية والآثار من جامعة توبنغن في ألمانيا (1991). أستاذ مشارك في دائرة التاريخ والآثار في جامعة بيرزيت (منذ 1991).
Nur Masalha: Palestinian historian from Galilee, he studied at Bir Zeir, London and Richmond universities. He is a research fellow at SOAS, University of London, and a lecturer in Islamic Studies at St Mary University College, Surrey, UK.
نور مصالحه: مؤرخ فلسطيني من الجليل. درس في جامعات بيرزيت ولندن وريتشموندز، وهو باحث زميل في كلية الدراسات الشرقية والأفريقية (SOAS) في جامعة لندن، ويحاضر أيضاً في الدراسات الإسلامية في كلية سانت ماري الجامعية في جامعة سري (Surrey).

Hadeel Rizq-al-Qazzaz: Researcher in social diversity and development and Gazan by origin, she has worked for more than twenty years with international development agencies and is a research associate at the Institute for Palestine Studies.
هديل رزق – القزاز: باحثة في مجال النوع الاجتماعي والتنمية، من قطاع غزة، وتعمل منذ أكثر من عشرين عاماً في مؤسسات تنموية دولية، وباحثة مشاركة في مؤسسة الدراسات الفلسطينية.
Himmat Zoubi: She holds a doctorate in Sociology and currently resides in Berlin as a postdoctoral fellow in the EUME Program.

Hugh Lovatt: He is a senior policy fellow with the Middle East and North Africa Programme at the European Council on Foreign Relations.

Wadie Awawidah: Author and journalist from the town of Kfar Kina in the Nazareth Province, he holds an MA in Middle East history from al-Quds University and focusses on documenting oral Palestinian history.
وديع عواودة: كاتب وصحافي من بلدة كفر كنا قضاء الناصرة. حائز ماجستير في تاريخ الشرق الأوسط من جامعة القدس. يعنى بتوثيق الرواية الشفوية الفلسطينية منذ أكثر من عقدين. يرئس تحرير صحيفة "حديث الناس" (الناصرة) منذ سنة 2007، وسبق أن عمل محرراً في صحيفة "كل العرب" (1991-2002).
Walid Khadduri: A member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Palestine Studies, he holds a doctorate degree from the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He has published several books and articles on energy issues, including works published by the Institute for Palestine Studies.
وليد خدوري: عضو مجلس الأمناء في مؤسسة الدراسات الفلسطينية. حائز دكتوراه من كلية الدراسات العليا للعلاقات الدولية في جامعة جون هوبكنز، واشنطن. لديه العديد من المقالات والكتب في شؤون الطاقة، ضمنها الكتب الصادرة عن مؤسسة الدراسات الفلسطينية.
Yasser Shalabi: Researcher and independent consultant in the field of development and social policy, he holds a doctorate degree in Sociology and has worked with several international and local agencies and as a part time lecturer at Bir Zeit University in the MA Program in International Migration and Asylum and in the two departments of Social and Behavioral Sciences and of Cultural Studies.
ياسر شلبي: باحث ومستشار مستقل في مجال التنمية والسياسات الاجتماعية. حاصل على دكتوراه في العلوم الاجتماعية. عمل لدى عدة مؤسسات دولية ومحلية وكأستاذ غير متفرغ في جامعة بيرزيت في برنامج ماجستير دراسات الهجرة الدولية واللجوء، وفي دائرتَي العلوم الاجتماعية والسلوكية والدراسات الثقافية.
