Arab Center Washington DC and the Institute for Palestine Studies are organizing a webinar to discuss the implications of the Israeli plan to annex vast areas of Palestinian land and extend Israeli sovereignty over illegal settlements in the West Bank. The discussion will also explore the implications of the recent announcement by Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas that the PA will end all agreements and understandings signed with Israel and the United States.

About the speakers: 

Noura Erakat: is a human rights attorney and assistant professor at Rutgers University.

Leila Farsakh: is an associate professor and chair of the Political Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Khalil E. Jahshan: is the executive director of the Arab Center Washington DC.

Rashid Khalidi: is the Edward Said professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University, co-Editor of the Journal of Palestine Studies, and the president of the Institute for Palestine Studies-USA.

Nasser Al-Kidwa: is the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation and the former Palestinian representative to the United Nations.

Raef Zreik: is an associate professor of Law at Ono Academic College and the co-Director of Minerva Center for the Humanities atTel Aviv University.

Tamara Kharroub: will be moderating the discussion. She is the assistant executive director and senior fellow at the Arab Center Washington DC.
