Résumé

The first edition of a compilation of the texts of all United Nations resolutions on Palestine. The compilation includes excerpts pertinent to Palestine from the United Nations Charter, and the full text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Appendix A is a reproduction of the Map of Partition of Palestine; and Appendix B is a sketch map of the Jerusalem International Zone and Environs, as adopted by the General Assembly in 1947. Appendix C includes a list of Reports published by the Conciliation Commission for Palestine for the years 1949 through 1965.

Sami Hadawi was in charge of land taxation under the British mandate over Palestine and subsequently served as Land Specialist to the UN Palestine Conciliation Commission in New York. His publications include Palestine: Loss of a Heritage (1963), Bitter Harvest (1967 and 1979), and The Palestine Diary 1914-1948 (1970).
