George Habash (1926- ) is founder of the Arab Nationalist Movement (ANM) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). He was interviewed in Damascus, where he has lived since the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, on 23, 24, and 25 October 1997 by Mahmoud Soueid, director of IPS Beirut.
