'AZMI BISHARA, a professor of philosophy at Birzeit University, was elected to the Israeli Knesset on 29 May 1996 as part of the National Democratic Assembly together with the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality. The interview was conducted in Jerusalem by Ruba al-Husari for our sister publication, Majallat al-Dirasat al-Filastiniyah, at the beginning of October 1996 and was published in MDFs Autumn 1996 issue.
