Rami El-Nimer
Biography: 

Rami El-Nimer is an experienced banker and a prominent Lebanese businessman, art collector and philanthropist. He is the Chairman of the First National Bank group of companies, overseeing its operations in the banking and financial services sector in Lebanon, the Middle East, Africa and other major capital markets globally. As the largest single shareholder, Rami leads the investments and global expansion of the group. In 2016, Rami founded the Dar El Nimer for Arts and Culture in Beirut, not only to feature thematic exhibitions from his private collection of over forty years, but also to create a space for art and cultural debate, make art accessible to everyone and reposition art as the language of peace. Rami believes in giving back to local communities and is active in doing so both at the personal level as well as through the companies he heads. He has been recognized for his contributions supporting various initiatives and NGOs focusing on education and human development. These include Unite Lebanon Youth Project (ULYP), Palestinian Students Fund, Welfare Association (Taawon), Health Care Society, Institute for Palestine Studies and Human Rights Watch. Rami is married and has two children.
