Al-Raml (Latakia) Refugee Camp, Syria

Highlight | The camp was established in 1952 along the sandy and rocky shoreline of Latakia. Al-Raml was not recognized as an official camp, although UNRWA provided services to its residents, estimated at 11,000 people, in the fields of education and health. It suffered greatly from the war in Syria and then from the earthquake that hit the Syrian northern regions in February 2023.
