Place | Hittin was located in Tiberias subdistrict, overlooking the plain of Hittin, where Saladin defeated the Crusader armies in 1187. Its lands were fertile due to its abundant water, and most of its residents worked in the cultivation of grains and fruits. The village was occupied by Zionist forces in mid-July 1948, and settlements were established on its lands.
