Highlight | Located in the heart of Beirut, Mar Elias Refugee Camp is the smallest of the Palestinian camps in Lebanon. it was established in 1952 on an endowment belonging to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate. The first families to live there came from different cities and villages in Palestine, including Haifa, Jaffa, and Acre. Mar Elias camp suffers from the same problems as other Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, in terms of services, especially water and electricity.
