Highlight | It is no longer unusual for international human rights organizations to describe Israel as an apartheid state. Under international law, apartheid constitutes a "crime against humanity." B'Tselem, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, concluded in 2021 that Israel “has created a regime of Jewish supremacy from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea,” which constitutes apartheid.
