Biography | Tawfiq Ibrahim was one of the leaders of the Qassam’s movement who took the command of several sectors in the Galilee district during the 1936-1939 revolt. During the 1948 war, he was assigned by the Arab Higher Committee the command of a force to defend the city of Nazareth. After the Nakba, he sought refuge in Damascus where he later died and was buried. In his memoirs, Akram Zuaiter described him as “One of the most loyal and most courageous leaders of the Revolt that I have met.”
