Biography | Jurji Habib Hanania was a pioneer of modernity in the Jerusalem district. He began his professional career in the field of printing, then founded al-Quds in 1908. This was the first newspaper published in the Jerusalem district after the reintroduction of the Ottoman constitution, and its front page masthead had the slogan of the French Revolution “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.”
