Biography | Izzat Tannous was one of the first Palestinian doctors who played a distinctive role, during the Mandate era, in defending the justice of the Palestinian cause in the Arab and international arenas. He was close to the Palestine Arab Party and, on the eve of the Nakba, was one of the most prominent defenders of the Arab identity of Jerusalem. He later participated in the founding of the PLO.
