Highlight | Fawwar camp was established in 1949-1950, south of Hebron, and was named after the abundant spring of al-Fawwar. At the time of its establishment, its population was 2,500 people, while its number was estimated in 2021 at 8,404 people. Due to the frequent clashes between camp youth and Israeli soldiers, a watchtower dominates the camp and a permanent military checkpoint controls its entrance.
