Annual Palestine Forum, 10-12 February 2024, Doha
Date:
February 02 2024

On Saturday, 10 February 2024, the Institute for Palestine Studies and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and will hold their Second Annual Palestine Forum at the Sheraton Hotel in Doha. The event will run for three days, closing on 12 February.

The Forum is considered the world’s most prominent academic event dedicated to the Palestine cause, and where high-quality papers, using a variety of research approaches, are presented by participants from across the globe. Their topics are wide-ranging: history, sociology, Palestine and inter-Arab relations, Palestine and international relations, settler colonial and apartheid systems, and national liberation.

The Forum has thus become a significant driver of academic research on Palestine, attracting a large audience of people interested in the regional and global dimensions of Palestine. It constitutes a unique meeting point to exchange knowledge and insights on related issues.

This year, approximately 70 peer-reviewed papers selected from among 520 applications, will be presented in specialized sessions in four parallel tracks, in addition to a number of general symposia. As the event is being held this year at a critical juncture in the history of the Palestine question, the general symposia will be devoted to addressing the various dimensions of the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and the challenges facing the Palestinian national project.
