Highlight | The Palestinian flag, with its black, white and green bands and its red triangle, was adopted by the PLO Executive Committee on 1 December 1964. It was raised by President Mahmoud Abbas on 30 September 2015 at UN headquarters. The Knesset passed a law in early June 2022 banning the flying of the flag.
