About the event:

The Palestinian national struggle has confronted numerous internal and external challenges and crises over the past few decades. But what distinguishes the current crisis is its scope and depth, as well as the absence of prospects and lack of direction. Palestinian society is currently undergoing conditions of political fragmentation and impending collapse as a result of recent international and regional developments.  The current crisis raises a number of questions pertaining to the present and future of the national project. Many of these issues are grounded in the conventional understanding of the national project and its characteristic discourse, an understanding which has prevailed during the past several decades.

This conference focuses on the challenges facing the Palestinian national project and subjects them to a variety of analytical and critical analyses. We aim to create a platform for debate about potential alternatives, and to undertake assessments and reviews with the objective of developing a political vision that can meet the local and international challenges, as well as a vision that contributes to the creation of a resistance strategy and the development of appropriate tools of resistance.

The conference proceedings will be mostly in Arabic, and participation will be online through the Zoom platform, available from the IPS website and from other social media platforms. Translation is not available.
