This book was Published by Newman Neame, London, for the Institute for Palestine Studies, on the 20th anniversary of the murder of United Nations Mediator on Palestine, Count Folke Bernadotte by Jewish terrorists in Jerusalem.

It Includes Bernadotte's Progress report of the United Nations Mediator on Palestine. Part 1: The mediation efforts : originally published, Paris, United Nations, 1948.

The progress report was submitted to the Secretary-General for transmission to the members of the United Nations in pursuance of paragraph 2, part II of Resolution 186 (S-2) of the General Assembly of 14 May 1948.
