Abstract
This study discusses the Israeli policy in Al-Aghwar area, where a de-facto annexation policy is being exercised, by means of allowing the installation of settlements, the exploitation of its water resources to fulfill their needs and the establishment of farms and industries relative to agricultural production and its pre-export preparation. Hence, the reason behind Israel’s containment of Al-Aghwar area at the heart of its colonial, security and settlement strategy, as part of Zone “C”, which is entirely ruled by the occupying forces, in accordance with the Oslo Accord, and is considered a defense gate of its eastern border.
