This study aims to analyze China’s foreign policy concerning the Arab-Israeli conflict in general and the Palestinian cause in particular. It focuses on the period 1976-1981, during which China was under the leadership of Hua Guofeng, and during which the Camp David agreement was signed. The study also sheds light on the relations between China and the PLO, as well as the factors that influenced China’s foreign policy with regards to the Middle East, especially its relationship with the USSR.
