The Palestine War 1947-1948: An Official Israeli Account

This landmark work is the translation from Hebrew of the official Israeli version of the 1948 war. It consists of two parts. The first is Volume III, Part 2, of  Sefer Toldot ha-Haganah (History of the Hagana) published in Tel Aviv in 1972. It covers the period from the UNGA partition decision in November 1947 to 15 May 1948. The second part is a full translation of Toldot Milhemet ha-Komemiyut (History of the War of Independence) published by the Israeli Army in 1970. It covers the period from 15 May 1948 until the Armistice agreements in 1949.
