Abstract

This study argues that the success of the PLO in dealing with future difficulties depends on a clear identification of its role as a liberation movement. This involves the fulfillment of its activity within a comprehensive revolutionary context with all the military and political responsibilities dictated by such a context. This also involves adherence to the principles of consensus and democracy.
