Abstract

This study focuses on the development of the military balance between the Arab countries and Israel in the 1980s, and specifies the policies that should be pursued by Arab countries in order to face the growing Israeli military threat in the coming years.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Riad Ashkar a graduate of the American University of Beirut, he was research fellow in Military Affairs at the IPS, and author of several publications on the Israeli military by the Institute. He died in 1982.
