This book is a basic primary source on the Palestinian national movement during crucial formative years by an eyewitness and leading activist.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Akram Zuaytir was born in Nablus in 1909, he studied at both the American University of Beirut and the Law School in Jerusalem. He was an activist and a co-founder in the 1930s of the Palestinian branch of the Pan-Arab Istiqlal (Independence) party. Zu’aytir was imprisoned by the British and played a key role in organizing the Palestinian Great Rebellion (1936-1939) against British pro-Zionist policies.
