Abstract

Prominent Israeli human rights lawyer Felicia Langer was the first Israeli attorney to defend Palestinian prisoners and fought tirelessly in the Israeli courts against detention orders, deportations, house demolitions, land expropriations, torture and murder. Langer’s memoirs draw on personal experience gained over a quarter of a century in the front lines of the human rights struggle against the practices of the Israeli occupation.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

In January 1991 Felicia Langer won the Bruno Kreisky Prize for the Defence of Human Rights. She has since gone into self-exile from Israel and lives in Europe.
