Revision of Israeli Policies Towards the Palestinian Issue

Abstract:

In the spirit of past seasonal symposiums organized by IPS, this symposium focuses on analyzing Israel economically, socially and ideologically as a means of following up on various developments related to the Palestinian question. It also focuses on monitoring Israeli positions towards questions of political compromise, settlement and the Arab minority within 1948 areas. What makes this symposium unique is that the researchers are specialists focusing on Israeli social and political affairs as well as the Arab-Israeli conflict. Most of them studied in Israeli schools and graduated from Israeli universities. As such, they have accumulated a unique, firsthand knowledge about the suffering of their people and the discrimination, humiliation and violation of rights that characterizes the lives of minority Palestinians inside Israel.

The compilation consists of the valuable insights, in-depth analysis and wide-ranging commentaries of these researchers concerning various aspects of Israeli society and political issues.

This publication is made up of research and commentary presented at a past IPS symposium dedicated to a thorough, multi-disciplinary analysis of the state of Israel with the ultimate aim of arriving at a timely understanding of the Palestinian question.
