The Institute for Palestine Studies introduces part two of Anis Kassim's study which explores the specific implications of the Nation-State Law for Palestinians across colonized Palestine. In doing so, it examines precisely how the Israeli political and legal establishments have used the historical legislation that has upheld the state since its inception, including the Nationality Law and Law or Return, to justify racism, segregation, and state-led violence against the Palestinians. But first, to grasp the extent to which these policies and legislations are discriminatory and radicalized, we must define and understand apartheid as a legal concept.
