In this installment, prof. Bisharat discusses Judge Richard Goldstone's April 1, 2011 op-ed in The Washington Post in which he reconsidered elements of the report that he and three other investigators submitted to the UN about Israel's late 2008 Gaza offensive, "Operation Cast Lead." He also discusses a March, 2011 conference he helped organize at UC-Hastings College of Law. The conference, "Litigating Palestine," was about using courts to advance the cause of justice for Palestinians. At the eleventh hour, the school's board of directors officially dropped its association with the event and forbade the dean from delivering a welcome address. UC-Hasting faculty and students have since issued statements against the board's decision.
