The Institute for Palestine Studies in Washington (IPS USA) is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan academic institution unaffiliated with any political organization or government. It is supported by the Institute for Palestinian Studies in Beirut, which was established in 1963 and is the oldest institute in the world devoted exclusively to documentation, research, analysis and publication on Palestinian affairs and the Arab-Israeli conflict, known throughout the Arab world as a model of institutional organization and independence. IPS Washington produces exclusively English-language publications, including the quarterly Journal of Palestine Studies (JPS), that are widely respected and extensively used in academic work on these issues.
We are currently recruiting for multiple paid and unpaid positions in the Washington, D.C. office. IPS offers a competitive compensation package with excellent benefits for employees. To apply, please carefully read the instructions listed in the respective job description.
Internships at the Institute are highly competetive and limited to a select few. The Institute's interns do meaningful, substantive work, related to their studies and interests. Interns have exclusive access to the IPS library - full of academic resources, out-of-print publications and historical documents, as well as professional development opportunities to interact with well-known scholars in the Middle East Studies and Palestinian Studies fields. All candidates are encouraged to apply.
