| The IPS-Library |

The IPS-Library in Beirut is the largest library in the Arab
world specializing in Palestinian affairs, Judaica, and the
Arab-Israeli conflict. It holds over 50,000 volumes in Arabic,
English, Hebrew and French. Its archives contain rare books,
original documents, periodicals, private papers, and newspaper
collections in Arabic, Hebrew and English. It also has an extensive
photographic collection, as well as an important microfilm collection
from the pre-Mandate era and the beginning of the Zionist movement
in the nineteenth century. The library's holdings are fully computerized. |

The IPS Library has initiated a new service for visiting researchers by creating abstracts for articles in selected journals to which the library subscribes.
With the exception of those abstracts prepared by the editorial boards of the journals or by other databases, all abstracts are prepared by the library staff. |
