Classmark search involves, besides the Dewey Decimal Classification, a special classification for audio-visual materials and other special collections materials.

Dewey Decimal Classification
Books in the IPS-Library are arranged on the shelves according to the Dewey Decimal Classification. This system divides knowledge into ten different broad subject areas, called classes, numbered 000-999.
The 10 main classes of the "Dewey" system are :
 

000	Generalities
100	Philosophy and psychology
200	Religion
300	Social Sciences
400	Language
500	Natural sciences and mathematics
600	Technology (Applied sciences)
700	The arts
800	Literature and rhetoric
900	Geography and history

Special Classification
